About Us
Our mission at Southcoast Lessons is to make meaningful connections, provide an inexhaustible outlet for creative expression, and foster joy through music.
We build community through participatory social music and foster a lifelong love of playing in our students. Our work is intentional and it is process, not product oriented. We’re interested in what happens when people engage with the music they love. We’re interested in what happens when people collaborate across generations and backgrounds. And, we’re interested in celebrating our common humanity and telling its story through sound.
Southcoast Lessons is a one man teaching business and simultaneously, we are a community. The social programming we do would never be possible without large numbers of active, caring, and dedicated people and classes are the participants.
You can now find me in the analog at my teaching space in Mattapoisett, MA. With both a large outdoor as well as an indoor teaching space, I’m sure you’ll enjoy what I have to offer. And I am, of course, still able to reach you wherever you may be digitally.
We’re back up and running again with free programming across all of the neighboring communities. Our community programming is open to all, full stop.
