    Southcoast Lessons' all ages, all terrain open mic continues on with our partner Mattapoisett Museum providing a room with outstanding acoustics and a feast for your eyes as well as your ears.

    This open mic is open to the public, is radically inclusive, and is not restricted by age or performance genre. Come sing a song, play a tune, recite a poem, do an interpretive dance, put on a dramatic short, tell a story... you get the idea. Just like all people are welcome to share here, all performances are welcome to be shared. The stage is yours, the musical community is all of ours to share!

  • Old Time Fiddle Session

    Join us for a gathering of traditional string band musicians & music lovers. We’ll be at the Mattapoisett Museum again to fill that beautiful sounding room with a fresh new take on ancient Old Time tones. Bring an instrument if you play, a seat if you’ve got one you love, ppe if you prefer it, & yourself whether you play & own seating or not!

    Hope to cut some tunes with you, for you, or just near you. See you in the analog!

  • New Sounds of Silents

    oin us at Mattapoisett Museum for the continuation of Southcoast Lessons' silent films set to live music series! Our third edition will feature "The Kid" by Charlie Chaplin in its entirety with a special guest performance by Leon Stanley. Come on out for a brilliant blend of comedy and drama that created the template for all the dramatic comedies that came after set to both improvised and newly composed pieces brought to you by Southcoast Lessons performers.
